This is a personal project of mine that marries my love for old movies, illustration, and vintage book covers. I’m really inspired by the book covers that use a limited color palatte, and are able to create depth and beautiful designs that don’t feel constrained by printing or budget restrictions. I also love the task of trying to distill the entire plot of a story into one image. The project is also an outlet for me to explore a looser, quick style. I give myself about 2 hours to complete a cover from concept to final drawing.
